The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Athens County from 10PM, Tuesday, 2/6/18 until 4PM, Wednesday, 2/7/28.

  • WHAT - Mixed precipitation this evening quickly changing to freezing rain. Snow accumulations 2 to 4 inches across Perry County, with ice accumulations around a tenth of an inch. Elsewhere, little to no snow and sleet accumulations, though ice accumulation around a quarter of an inch. A change to rain is expected Wednesday morning before changing back to a mix in the afternoon.

  • WHERE - Perry, Morgan, Athens, Jackson OH and Vinton Counties.

  • WHEN - From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM Wednesday.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS - Plan on difficult travel conditions. Motorists are strongly urged to slow down and allow plenty of time to reach their destinations. Some power outages are possible due to ice accumulation.
