The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Athens County from 10PM, Tuesday, 2/6/18 until 4PM, Wednesday, 2/7/18.

  • WHAT - Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches, with localized amounts up to 4 inches, and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch are expected.

  • WHERE - Portions of southeast Ohio.

  • WHEN - From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM Wednesday.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS - The ice will result in difficult travel conditions and some scattered power outages. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times in heavier snowfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS; A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.
