Update: HCSO Vehicular Crimes Division are interviewing subject in this mornings fatal hit and run.

Update: This morning, February,05, 2018, the Harris County Sheriff's Office Vehicular Unit received word from Harris County Precinct 4 Constables Office , that the subject involved in this morning's hit and run wanted to turned themselves in to their agency.

The subject is now being interviewed by VCD investigators.

Charges are pending until further investigation.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office Vehicular Crimes Division need the public's help in locating a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run crash that occurred on February 5, 2018 in Harris County, TX.

On February 5, 2018, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the victim, 57-year-old Michael Hughes, was walking across the center turn lane in the 11400 block of Jones Road.

The suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on Jones Road and entered into the center turn lane, striking Hughes.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene without providing aid to the victim.
Mr. Hughes died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. It is unknown, at this time, what type of vehicle was involved in the crash.
