Evansville man arrested on DUI charge. 
On February 2, 2018, at 8:28 p.m. Deputy Loren Barchett stopped a White 2006 Saturn VUE on US 41 near County Road 400 South for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Barchett detected the odor Marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. During a roadside investigation the driver 29 year old Dashawn Tanksley was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Jail Mr. Tanksley was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $450 bond.
Assisting Deputy Barchett in his investigation were officers from the Princeton Police Department.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
