OSBI special agents were called to the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Edmond at approximately 4 pm Sunday. So far, agents have determined a man inside a home at 9204 Bergamot Blvd was shot in the hand by a Logan County deputy called to the house by the man's wife. She told dispatchers her husband was threatening to kill himself. When deputies arrived, they found the man holding a knife with both hands under his chin. When it appeared the man was about to act on his threat, a deputy shot the man in the hand. The man dropped the knife and deputies apprehended him. He was transported to an Oklahoma City hospital. OSBI agents are at the scene conducting interviews and documenting the scene. OSBI will submit a report to the district attorney, who will determine if the shooting was justified. The man's name will be released at a later date.
