Former Local School Sports Official Arrested for Sexual Misconduct with Underage Girls

In May of 2017, Detectives from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit began conducting an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations related to Bradley Kenneth Pendleton, 33, of Lakeport. Pendleton, who is a former local school sports official, was allegedly having sexual contact with underage girls. The sexual misconduct was alleged to have occurred between 2010 and 2017.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Pendleton was meeting girls while acting as a sports official at local middle and high school basketball games. The results of the investigation was forwarded to the Lake County District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint with the Lake County Superior Court. A felony arrest warrant was issued for Pendleton.

On February 1st, 2018, Pendleton voluntarily turned himself in at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Pendleton was interviewed by Detectives and during the course of the interview, Pendleton provided statements which corroborated the victims’ allegations related to this investigation.

Pendleton was booked into the Lake County Jail for violations of California Penal Code sections 261(a)(2)- Rape, 288(c)(1)-Lewd Acts with a Child that is 14 or 15 Years Old, and 288a(b)1- Oral Copulation with a Person Under 18 Years of Age.
