Victim's small dog helps fight off a home invasion suspect

SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 7:39 p.m. deputies responded to a call of a home invasion. The victim told deputies she was laying in bed, when a black male made entry through the unlocked front door. He startled her and pulled out a grey handgun from his waistband area and made a statement to her. The suspect was standing in the living room area when the victim's small dog attacked him in the leg. The suspect exited the home and left in an unknown direction. The victim claims to have seen him walking in the area in the recent past.
The victim described the suspect as a black male in his 20's or 30's, very short black hair and wearing a green baseball type cap, blue jeans, a blue jean jacket, black shoes and a black colored T-shirt. He stood about 5'8" and had an average build with no facial hair.
