WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy Snow and possible freezing rain. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Trace ice accumulation possible.
* WHERE...Southern Inner Channels northwest of Ketchikan including Kasaan and Thorne Bay.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning before snow diminishes or changes to rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Thorne Bay has already reported 6 inches of snow as of 9 pm. Visibilities reduced in heavy snow. Heavy snow may be difficult to manage. Travel may become hazardous. Slick conditions may develop on some surfaces.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
A warning means that a winter storm is already occurring or imminent. This storm could pose a threat to life and property.

conditions warrant.
