Update to the traffic accident Delk Rd @ Franklin Gateway. Roadway open, suspect driver not yet located. More HERE:

While on routine patrol, a uniform officer observed a gray 1997 Mercury Cougar traveling North on Franklin Gateway toward Delk Road.  The suspect vehicle was traveling without a proper license plate displayed.   
 
The officer initiated a traffic stop and the suspect vehicle slowed and turned left into the Chevron parking lot in the Southwest corner of the intersection.  Before coming to a complete stop, the suspect vehicle accelerated out of the gas station parking lot and ran a red light at the intersection of Franklin Gateway and Delk Road.  The suspect vehicle stuck two vehicles in the intersection.  The driver of the first vehicle struck was entrapped and was later transported to Kennestone Hospital.
 
The suspect driver fled on foot and has not yet been located.  He is a medium skin tone black male that has dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans and khaki colored boots.
