Matter requires immediate medical attention and / or law enforcement response:

• Serious injury or life threatening situation underway
• Crime in progress
• Crime just took place and you can describe the suspect(s)
When to call 909-595-2264
Matter requires law enforcement attention but not immediate response
• Non injury accidents
• Crime has already occurred and details of the suspect(s) are unknown
• Suspicious activity or individuals detected, but no crime in progress
Be ready to report
Immediately reporting a crime in progress or suspicious activity helps our Sheriff Deputies apprehend the suspects or ascertained as to what business they have in the area. When calling the Walnut Sheriff station 909-595-2264 or 9-1-1 be ready to provide the following information to the dispatcher:
• Your name address and phone number (you have the option to remain anonymous so you will not be discouraged to report )
• Type, location and time of the incident.
• Suspect(s) description: gender , clothing, approximate age , height , weight and how many people involved
• The vehicle description including the color, make, model , license plate or any identifying features (such as stickers damage)
• Direction of travel if the suspect(s) left the location.
Remember don’t hang up until the dispatcher instructs you that it is ok to do so.
