Wanted for Occupied Burglary
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people who burglarized an occupied Belle Terre home last year.
Two men confronted a woman in her driveway on Sunset Path on August 11 at approximately 5:40 a.m. and forced her into the home while a third suspect waited outside. Once inside, the men held the woman and her husband at gunpoint and demanded they open the safe. The residents complied and the suspects stole approximately $80,000 in cash and approximately $200,000 worth of jewelry, including a men’s Rolex Presidential Platinum Masterpiece watch and a three karat diamond cross, as well as a second safe. A red four-door sedan and white two-door Mercedes were seen leaving the area at the time of the incident. No one was injured during the burglary.
