Temple Station VIDA Program

The Temple Sheriff’s Station VIDA class is now enrolling students ages 11-17 for the Spring Session which starts the second week in February, 2018. 

VIDA is a 16 week intervention program for youth. The Program is designed to teach life skills and good decision making, and to teach parents communication skills and how to take control of their student’s progress.

Key components of this program are:

The Saturday program

  • Physical training
  • Close order drill
  • Jail tour
  • Life skills classes
  • Community service projects
 

Wednesday night

There is a mandatory two hour class for parents which teaches parenting skills and for students which teaches a variety of topics.
VIDA Deputies conduct home and school visits randomly throughout the 16 weeks. Students are drug tested randomly throughout the program and will receive drug counseling on site. There are also professionals to provide one on one and family counseling.
The total cost to the family is $75.00 which includes a uniform and all materials.
VIDA Deputies will also be willing to arrange a presentation of the program to provide you with a better understanding of the services we provide, and answer any questions you may have.
