Crystal Lake Avenue Closed to Westbound Traffic at Erick Street
Crystal Lake – Beginning at 11:00 a.m. today, Crystal Lake Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic at Erick Street for emergency railroad crossing repairs. East Street will be closed at Crystal Lake Avenue during this time. Westbound traffic should use Erick Street to Illinois Route 176 to Main Street as a detour. Crystal Lake Avenue will remain open to eastbound traffic.
It is anticipated that the crossing work will be completed later this afternoon. Construction activities will include track repair. This closure is necessary to ensure continued safety along the Union Pacific/ Metra Northwest Line tracks.
