Clayton County Police responded to a burglary in progress today on Thornwood Court in Jonesboro.  Two burglars were attempting to break into a residence while the resident was home and the resident dialed 911.   

Both suspects fled on foot upon the arrival of police officers.  A call for a K-9 to assist went out, and Deputy Kearns along with his new K-9 “Tir” arrived picking up a scent to begin tracking.   

Trey Thomas Martin and a male juvenile were tracked and found hiding under a barn by K-9 “Tir”.  Both of them had handguns.  Martin now has special accommodations at the “Hill ton” where he is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
