Corona PD Launches Facility Dog Program. Welcome Facility K9 Officer Raider II!

CORONA, CA– Continuing strong community partnerships and enhancing the quality of life for the community is an ever-present theme for the Corona Police Department. As an agency, we strive to find new ways to strengthen and serve our community, and in doing so, we proudly announce the newest addition to our agency, Facility K9 Officer Raider II. Raider will be our agency’s first Facility Dog. He is a 2-year-old yellow labrador that comes to us as a highly trained service dog from Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org) in Oceanside, CA.

Raider graduated with his handlers on Nov. 3, 2017 and has been working to increase community communication, ease the tension of victims, children, those impacted by traumatic events, and assist citizens that are experiencing difficulties. The Corona Police Department will be one of only a handful of police departments in the nation to offer this type of service to our citizens. We believe K9 Officer Raider will complement our vision of proactive partnerships within our community.

For more information about the Corona Police Department’s Facility Dog program, please contact Sgt. Adam Roulston. For appearance inquiries, please email [email protected]. You may also keep up with Raider’s adventures by following him on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/k9raiderii and Instagram at @K9RaiderII
