DUARTE WEEKLY CRIME BLOTTER Jan 14, 2018 - Jan 20, 2018.

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of Jan 14, 2018– Jan 20, 2018
 
January 14, 2018

  • A Battery on a Peace Officer/Resisting an Executive Officer was reported at 2705 Huntington Drive (7-Eleven).  Deputies contacted an adult male, inside 7-Eleven, regarding vehicle code violations. The male would not comply with Deputies’ orders, and attempted to run from the deputies.  He assaulted a Deputy who attempted to stop him.  He was subsequently arrested.
  • A Residential Burglary was reported on the 2200 block of Rim Road.  Entry was made through an exterior bedroom door.  The bedroom was ransacked and jewelry was stolen.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  The male suspect selected a vacuum cleaner from a display shelf, and exited the store without paying for it.
 
January 15, 2018
  • No significant activity.
 
January 16, 2018
  • A Burglary was reported at 1088 Huntington Drive (T-Mobile).  Three male suspects entered the store and attempted to steal phones from the display.  One suspect successfully removed a Samsung S-8 phone, and stand, from a display table. The suspects fled the store, and ran south-bound through the parking lot, and out of view.
 
January 17, 2018
  • An Assault with a Deadly Weapon was reported at 1500 Duarte Road (City of Hope).  The suspect drove his vehicle into the victim, pinning the victim between the suspect’s vehicle and the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then drove east-bound on Ben Horowitz Drive and out of view.
  • A Grand Theft Vehicle was reported on the 300 block of Spinks Canyon Road.  A 2007 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from the victim’s driveway.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart).  A duffle bag, containing clothing and personal items, was stolen from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
 
January 18, 2018
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported on the 800 block of San Marcos Lane.  The front passenger-side window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered, and clothing and other personal items were stolen.
 
January 19, 2018
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported on the 2400 block of Maynard Drive.  The rear passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered and her purse was stolen.
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported on the 1300 block of Mountain Avenue (The crime actually occurred over night, 01-07-18 to 01-08-18).  Tools, valued at over $4,000 dollars, were stolen from the victim’s locked work truck.
 
January 20, 2018
  • An Assault with a Deadly Weapon was reported at the corner of Crestfield Drive and Maynard Drive (the crime occurred on 01-18-18).  The suspect drove her vehicle toward the victim, and struck the victim’s left arm with the driver’s-side mirror.  The suspect then drove northbound on Crestfield Drive, and out of view.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  A backpack containing school supplies was stolen from the victim’s unlocked vehicle on 01-19-18.

  • Deputies arrested an adult male for possession of illegal narcotics, and an adult male for resisting a peace officer.
 
January 15, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
 
January 16, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for violating a court order, and an adult male for driving under the influence of alcohol.
 
January 17, 2018
  • No significant activity.
 
January 18, 2018
  • No significant activity.
 
January 19, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult female for being under the influence of illegal narcotics.
 
January 20, 2018
  • Deputies arrested two adult males for public intoxication.
 
*** In addition to the above outlined arrests, no persons were cited and released for driving without a driver’s license/driving with a suspended license.
