City of Oakland Women’s March-Oakland Police Department
Today, January 20, 2018, the Women’s March took place in downtown Oakland. Oakland Police officers facilitated the march of approximately 40,000- 50,000 attendees (this number is subject to change). The march started from the area of 14th and Lake Merritt (amphitheater) and proceeded to the final detestation of Frank H. Ogawa Plaza.
The crowd was peaceful.
At this time there have been no reports of arrests, citations, vandalism or injuries.
