Here is the Saugus (Zone 4) Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of January 8, 2018:

01/09/18
Burglary – 19100 block of Bension Drive
Unknown suspect(s) stole new kitchen appliances (microwave, cooktop) from the inside of a home that was under construction. 

01/13/18
Grand Theft Auto – 27600 block of Susan Beth Way
The suspect stole the victim’s 2017 Hyundai Sonata from a parking stall at the above location. The victim’s purse was left inside the vehicle.The suspect used credit cards from the victim’s purse at various locations.

Business Owners- We have seen an increase in Commercial Burglaries over the past few months.  Several businesses have been leaving cash in their cash registers after closing.  To help prevent theft please do not leave cash in the register and leave the drawer open with the cash tray up to show that there is nothing inside to take.
