January 17th

1106 Hours: Officer D. Johnson investigated an auto burglary at Starbucks, 5741 Stevenson Boulevard. The loss is two backpacks.

1132 Hours: Officers Rivas and Lenz contacted and arrested a 52-year-old Newark male for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on the 37800 block of Birch Street. The suspect was issued a citation and released.

1442 Hours: Officer Palacio responded to a hit and run accident on Thornton Avenue at Cherry Street. A traffic sign was knocked over into the street by an unknown driver.

1531 Hours: Officer Rivera contacted and arrested a 26-year-old Newark male for his outstanding warrant on Spruce Street at Jarvis Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released.

1827 Hours: Officer Mapes responded to a disturbance at Ninjo Castle, 39888 Balentine Drive. A confrontation over the dinner tab occurred and the suspect had left the scene prior to the Officers arrival.
