On January 17, 2018 at approximately 5:00 PM, a suspect identified as Grant Blanchette 35 years old of Simi Valley was arrested for an assault with a hair pick.
Blanchette approached two juveniles in the area of Tapo St. and Alamo St. and began to mumble and yell at them. When the juveniles told Blanchette to leave them alone, Blanchette pulled out a hair pick and chased the two juveniles. The juveniles ran home and notified their parents of the incident.
Simi Valley Police responded, searched the area, and located Blanchette. Blanchette was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail.
