News Story - Saticoy Shooting

Nature of Incident: Shooting in Saticoy Report Number: 18-7891 Location: 11300 block of Violeta Street Date & Time: 01/15/18 @ 04:56 PM Unit(s) Responsible: Headquarters Patrol, Headquarters Detectives, Major Crimes Bureau, and Sheriff’s Gang Unit (S)uspects, (V)ictims, (P)arty (D)ecedent City of Residence Age (V) Male Saticoy 34 Narrative: On January 15, 2018, at approximately 1655 hours, patrol deputies and detectives responded to a shooting in the 11300 block of Violeta Street located in the community of Saticoy. Deputies discovered the victim was seated inside his parked vehicle when a silver colored sedan stopped a short distance away from the victim. While the victim continued to sit inside his vehicle, an unknown male suspect exited the silver vehicle with a shotgun and fired a single round at the victim’s front windshield. The suspect got back into the silver vehicle and fled westbound from the location. A canvass search of the area revealed a residence, a short distance away, had damage consistent with being struck by a gunshot round. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the shotgun round being fired.
