Coastal Flood Warning until 10:00PM Thursday

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 10 PM PST THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect from 4 AM to 10 PM PST Thursday. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Large swells of 25 to 30 feet will reach the coast Thursday. Waves this size cause dangerous conditions on beaches and can flood parts of coastal towns.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...La Push...Westport, Ocean Shores, Taholah.

* TIMING...Seas will peak during the day Thursday and then diminish slowly but remain above 20 feet through Friday.

* TIDE INFO...Seas will be high through the high tide Thursday afternoon so that will increase the likelihood of flooding.

* IMPACTS...Beach runup by waves will be extensive, and beach erosion is likely in the typical trouble. Low-lying areas near shorelines will likely experience saltwater flooding. Some levees and other structures are likely to be overtopped by the biggest waves.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CENTRAL COAST ... NORTH COAST
