The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

January 16th

1049 Hours: Community Service Officer Parks documented a credit fraud case. The victim reported that someone applied for credit under his name.

1230 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated four auto burglaries on the 34900 block of Newark Boulevard. The loss was laptop computers and a purse.

1625 Hours: Officers responded to the 8600 block of Thornton Avenue on a sighting of a known stolen vehicle. Officer Rivera contacted and arrested a 20-year-old male for possession of stolen property and burglary tools. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail. The vehicle was released to the registered owner.
