...Hard freeze conditions will continue through early afternoon... .An arctic airmass will continue to build south into the region. Temperatures will struggle to climb into the upper 20s to around 30 this afternoon, with hard freeze conditions to continue for the next few hours. ...HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON... The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Hard Freeze Warning, which is in effect until 1 PM CST this afternoon.

* TEMPERATURE...20 to 25 degrees.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to these conditions may result in hypothermia and frostbite and could harm pets and outdoor animals. Exposed pipes and those along exterior walls will have the potential to freeze. Sensitive vegetation exposed to these temperatures will be killed.
