INCIDENT: Murder Investigation

LOCATION: 7700 block of Golondrina Dr., Highland

VICTIM: Jorge Moises Grimaldo, 23 years old, resident of Highland (victim’s photo is being released)

SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult, approximately 20 years of age with the moniker of “BLAZE”

SUMMARY: UPDATE: January 16th

Through investigation, detectives have determined that the victim, Jorge Grimaldo, was shot and killed in front of his residence. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white sports utility, possibly a Ford Expedition.

Detectives have interviewed numerous people and followed up on additional leads that have surfaced. However, the public’s assistance is needed in identifying the suspect believed to be involved in the murder of Jorge Grimaldo.

Anyone with information regarding the identity and or whereabouts of the suspect, described as a Hispanic male adult, approximately 20 years of age with the moniker of “BLAZE,” is asked to contact the Homicide Detail, Detective Mark Green at (909)387-3589. On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 11:30 p.m. deputies responded to 911 calls reporting a shooting in the area. Deputies responded and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The male was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff’s Homicide Detail responded to conduct the investigation.

Investigators are conducting neighborhood checks searching for potential witnesses and processing the scene for evidence.
