Winter Storm Warning until 09:00AM

...WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE MID-SOUTH EARLY TUESDAY... .A strong upper level disturbance will move through the Mid South early this morning as arctic air continues to spill into the region. Ongoing snow will taper off from northwest to southeast during the morning hours...with flurries likely lingering over portions of northeast Mississippi in the afternoon. Most locations in the I-40 corridor will see snow totals of 2 to 5 inches...with northeast Mississippi seeing amounts of up to 2 inches. The combination of very cold temperatures and gusty northwest winds will produce wind chill values to zero or slightly below, mainly along and north of Interstate 40 through noon today. ...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING... ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute today. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with localized higher amounts, are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, Southeast Missouri and West Tennessee.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until noon Today. For the Wind Chill Advisory, until noon Today.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are occurring.
