Deputies Arrest Suspect for Exhibiting a Firearm

DATE/TIME: January 14, 2018/ 8:36 p.m.
INCIDENT: Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance while Possessing a Weapon; Exhibiting a Firearm
LOCATION: 9600 block of Milliken Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Daniel James Pompa, 28 year-old from Rancho Cucamonga

SUMMARY: On January 15, 2018, at 8:36 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department went to an apartment complex in the 9600 block of Milliken Avenue where a male subject was reported to have brandished a firearm to a neighbor.

Following an argument, the suspect, Pompa, pulled out a gun, cocked it and pointed it at victim and his friends. Deputes contacted Pompa at his apartment and he led them to the firearm. Pompa displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of an unknown controlled substance.

Four firearms were seized from Pompa’s apartment and he was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center with a bail amount of $20,000.
