Late this morning while searching a wooded area off of Parris Island Gateway in Burton for 56-year-old Hezekiah Donaldson, who was reported missing on January 6th, Sheriff’s Office investigators discovered a deceased man in a drainage ditch. The death scene investigation revealed no apparent trauma or other indications that foul play was involved in the man’s death. It was confirmed through the investigation that the deceased man was in fact, missing person Hezekiah Donaldson. The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has scheduled a forensic autopsy to be performed tomorrow at the Medical University of South Carolina to aid in determining the cause and manner of Donaldson's death.
