1/09 - 9:20 a.m. - A subject attempted register as a sex offender, at an address in Millstadt. However, after conducting an investigation, it was learned where he wanted to live was too close to the Millstadt Primary Center. Upon further investigation it was discovered the subject had a felony warrant out of Jefferson County, Missouri, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Officers responded to the Cozy Acres Mobile Home Park and arrested the subject. Investigating further, it was discovered the subject had already been living at a an address within the mobile home park. On the 11th, the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged the suspect, Santo R. Anselmo, age 79, with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Per the charging document the subject, from between the 1st day of December, 2017 and the 9th day of January, 2018, failed to register with the Chief of Police of the City of Millstadt. A Class 3 Felony. His bond was set at $10,000.
