Attempt residential burglary in the 5000 block of Birdie Lane.

Scio Township Deputies are investigating an attempt residential burglary that occurred sometime between 4pm and 8:00pm on Jan. 12th in the 5000 block of Birdie Lane.  No one was home at the time of the incident.  Attempt entry to the home was made by breaking a glass back patio door. No arrests have been made at this time and the incident remains under investigation by area deputies.

Burglars are opportunistic and look for the easiest way in and out. The more you can secure your property the less likely you are to have your home broken into.

-Set timers for indoor lights
