Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of an elderly man and woman. The incident occurred Thursday, January 11, 2018, at approximately 9:13 a.m., on the 11800 block of Shoemaker Avenue, Whittier.

Investigators responded to the location and learned that this was a murder suicide incident involving an elderly married couple in their 70’s.  The suspect shot his wife and turned the gun on himself.

Both the suspect and victim were pronounced dead at the scene.
