Dense fog will be most likely for locations closer to large bodies of water such as Lake Pontchartrain and along the coast. Visibilities could fall to less than one quarter of mile at times in areas of dense fog. ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM CST THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM CST Thursday.
* VISIBILITY...One quarter mile or less at times.
* IMPACTS...Motorists are advised to use extreme caution and allow for additional travel time. Use low beams...reduce driving speed and allow for plenty of room between other cars as vehicles and other objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range.
