Deputies arrest a man for robbery at gunpoint; two suspects outstanding

LOCATION: 16900 Block of Main Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Horacio Campos, 36-year-old male out of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Monday, January 8, 2018, at approximately 10:20 pm, deputies from the Hesperia Police Department responded to the 16900 block of Main Street following the report of an armed robbery. The victim was in a parking lot near the location when he was approached and robbed at gunpoint. The suspects were described as two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female.
After the robbery occurred, the victim was able to follow the suspect vehicle and provide Sheriff’s Dispatch with an updated location of the vehicle. The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies with the assistance of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation were able to set up a perimeter, and later located Horacio Campos hiding near a residence in the 8800 block of Tangerine Avenue. The other two suspects remain outstanding.
Campos was found to be a parolee at large and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and, he remains in custody.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives continue to attempt to identify the other two suspects involved.
