Press Release: Drug Arrest

ACCUSED: Wilbert F. Ellis 42-year-old-male West Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On Tuesday, January 9th at approximately 11:52pm detectives made contact with Wilbert Ellis on West Park Avenue. During the investigation Ellis swallowed drugs, specifically crack cocaine and heroin in an attempt to avoid arrest. He was subsequently placed under arrested and transported to Monmouth Medical Center for treatment. Ellis was also found to be in possession of eighty bags of heroin hidden in his clothes.
After receiving treatment, Ellis was transported to the police station where he was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, obstruction, failure to turn over drugs, wandering with the purpose to distribute drugs and also possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
Ellis was transported and lodged in the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
