A felon is arrested following a traffic stop where deputies located a loaded firearm inside the vehicle

INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: Cedar Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue, Bloomington
SUSPECTS: Anthony Guerra, age 20 resident of San Bernardino
Chelsea Abel, age 26 resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY:
On Monday, January 8, 2017, at approximately 9:41 pm, Deputy Bean conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Cedar Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue in Bloomington. The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Guerra, was on felony probation for assault with a deadly weapon. The rear passenger, Chelsea Abel, was on felony probation for possession of a stolen vehicle and had a no bail warrant.
During a search of the vehicle, Bean located a loaded .380 handgun under the front passenger seat.
Guerra was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center (CDC) for being a Felon in Possesion of a Firearm. Abel was arrested and booked at CDC for her warrant.
