Angels Camp Police On-line With Nixle and Twitter

The Angels Camp Police Department now has the ability to send messages to citizens and business owners via Nixle and Twitter. For those that aren’t familiar with the services, Nixle is a secure and identity-certified communication service that allows local, county and state law enforcement and government agencies to connect with local residents over cell phone, email and web. Information is delivered in real time to geographically targeted consumers. Nixle's primary publishers are local public safety agencies, municipal governments, schools and affiliated municipal agencies. Twitter is primarily a social networking site, but the police department has their Nixle account linked to their Twitter site, so that registered members of Twitter that sign up can also obtain the information updates.
Members of the public are welcome to register for Nixle messages and to register as a follower of our Twitter account. Doing so will enable the police department to send messages instantly to registered users. This is another way for the police department to keep citizens and business owners updated with information related to the Angels Camp community.
