*Correction* 2Update #LASD Det's Identify/Charged Suspect in Stabbing Death of Elderly Man, Temple City Murder 12/2017

*CORRECTION* Suspect's name is JOSE Rosales Casas

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a man. The elderly white victim was discovered Saturday, December 16, 2017, at approximately 5:51 a.m., on the 5500 block of Alessandro Circle, Temple City.

Based on physical evidence collected at the scene, and interviews of different individuals, detectives have identified and charged Jose Rosales Casas for the murder. Suspect Casa is a male Hispanic 28 years-old. He is currently in-custody in Orange County on unrelated charges under booking number 3030255.

His bail for the Temple City murder is set at $2.45 million.

Detectives believe the actual crime occurred on Thursday, December 14, 2017. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of an elderly, White male that occurred on the 5500 block of Alessandro Avenue, in Temple City on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

Detectives have learned that at approximately 5:50 A.M., Temple Station deputies responded to the location regarding a “check the welfare” call.

Upon their arrival, they located the victim who had sustained at least one stab wound to the upper torso.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time there is no suspect information or known motive for the crime.
