#015 Under the Influence of Drugs
Officer Trzewieczynski and FTO Smith contacted a 43 year old adult male as he was creating a disturbance, by dancing and screaming in the lobby of a business in the 5400 block of  Mowry Ave.  The male displayed symptoms of a person under the influence.  He was placed under arrested for being under the influence of drugs and booked into the Fremont Jail. 

#027 Warrant Arrest
At 2:41 p.m. officers responded to the 40800 block of High Street to investigate an assault.  A 32 year old adult male, San Jose resident allegedly threw tools and a knife in the direction of the reporting party earlier in the day,.  The suspect was detained and eventually arrested for an outstanding active warrant.  The victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges.  He was taken to the Fremont jail and booked on the warrant.
 
#003 Misc. Public Service
At 11:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of King Ave on a report of a large party.  Officers arrived and found 200-300 young people attending a party at this vacant home.  After officers shut down the party and cleared the residence, a 17 year old female came back and stated she needed her cell phone.  The juvenile admitted to officers that she had rented the house through Air BnB for the party.  The juvenile was detained for a curfew violation, brought to the police station where her parents met officers.   This is the second event this month where this home was rented via Air BnB for the purpose of a large house party.

#005 Missing Adult Male
Officer Wong and other Zone 2 officers were dispatched to Peace Terrace on a report of a missing 82 year-old male.  This was the second time in the last two days the male was reported missing by his family members.  Two days prior he went missing from Newark and was located in Palo Alto.     It was believed he got there via AC Transit.  Officer B. Smith used his tracking K-9 to complete a successful track to the area of Deep Creek Rd, but then the trail ended.  Officer Smith and Austin also checked into the wooden area on the south curb of Ridgewood.  AC Transit was advised as were NPD and UCPD.  He was later located by a community member in Union City.

#010 Possession of Methamphetamine
At 8:30 a.m., Officer Lastrape arrested a 65 year old adult male near Washington/Bay St. for being in possession of methamphetamine. 

#009 Stolen Vehicle
CSO Romero investigated a stolen vehicle taken overnight from Fremont Glen Apartments- 2012 silver Volkswagen Passat 4 door license plate #6TDX632.

#003 Obstructing/Resisting Arrest
At 12:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to Walgreens on Mowry Ave on the report of a male trying to jump into the reporting party's car then hiding in the bushes.  Officers arrived and the reporting party said the male was last seen running westbound on Capitol Ave.  A female walking in the area flagged the officer down and pointed to a parking lot where she said the male was activing crazy.  Officers found the male ducking down and hiding in the bushes.  He initially complied with officers and came out of the bushes, but was extremely paranoid.  Officers noticed a large metal object in his pant pockets, and as officers attempted a pat search the 51 year old adult male began fighting with officers.  He admitted to using crystal meth earlier in the day. After medical clearance, the male was booked into Santa Rita Jail. 

#001 Battery
Officers were dispatched to Pawnee Dr. on the report of a family member causing a disturbance.  The reporting party told dispatch the male was possibly intoxicated, exposing himself and putting lit cigarettes in neighbors’ mailboxes.  Officers arrive and the 53 year old was arrested for battery and booked at Santa Rita Jail.

#006 Residential Burglary
CSO Romero investigated a residential burglary that occurred overnight on Buxton Co.  Entry was made by forcing open the door to the garage.

Patrol officers conducted security checks on NYE events which included the Royal Palace, Campo di Bocce, and Saddle Rack.  No reported incidents.

#014 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, etc.
A caller reported that his adult son had just stolen money from him.  He was currently following his son who was riding his bike.  Officers located the male and arrested him for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.  Case investigated by Officer Calvin and FTO Kennedy

#022  Outside Assist for SJPD
San Jose PD had a robbery in their city involving three suspects in a white mini-van.  The items taken had electronic tracking devices that showed the property was possibly in the area of Sunnycrest Ct.  Several SJPD officers, a CHP helicopter and Fremont officers responded.  The tracking devices were located but not the vehicle. While this was occurring, a caller reported that three suspects with similar descriptions were running in the area towards Paseo Padre Pkwy.  Officers responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle abandoned on Carmen St. just south of Driscoll Rd. The suspects were not located.  SJPD took possession of the vehicle. 

#023 Residential Burglary
A reporting party called 9-1-1 after hearing glass breaking in the house and someone trying to push open his bedroom door.  The reporting party yelled and the suspect fled.  Officers arrived and determined the suspect(s) forced the side garage door open and then forced the door leading to the kitchen open.   A perimeter was established and UCPD K9 and officers responded to assist with a search.  The suspect(s) were not located.  Case investigated by Officer DeStefano.

#024 Arson
Fremont Fire called to report an arson at the larger playground at Central Park.  Unknown suspect(s) set the large play structure on fire.  No suspect information or surveillance footage.  Estimated damage is at least $5000.  Case documented by Officer Gerber.

#027 Warrant Service
Officer Floresca stopped a vehicle on Auto Mall Pkwy at Osgood Rd.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for trespassing.  Officer Floresca arrested and cited the 30 year old adult male for his warrant.

#002 Reckless Driving
At 1:11 a.m., Officer De Stefano witnessed a vehicle doing donuts on Lincoln St at Almond Ave.  He stopped the vehicle and arrested the 19 year old adult male for reckless driving and had the car towed.  The male was also found to be in possession of narcotics in pill form and was charged with possession of a controlled substance.  He was booked at the Fremont Jail.
 
#008  Felony Vandalism
At 3:34 a.m., Officer De Stefano was flagged down by a community member who pointed out a male vandalizing the Lucky’s grocery store and numerous other spots inside of the shopping center on Mowry Ave.  Responding officers found trash spread across the front of the store, shopping carts flipped over, and a soda vending machine with its cord ripped from the outlet, thrown down onto the ground.  The electrical circuit breaker box next to the RedBox machine was also pulled off from the wall and there were exposed wires.  On the north side of the shopping complex, multiple ceramic planter boxes were thrown into parking stalls and exterior strands of glass bulb lights were pulled down from a restaurant.  Outdoor furniture at an adjacent coffee shop and more bags of trach were thrown everywhere.   Officer De Stefano located the 18 year old adult male not far from the vending machine.  During  a search of his person, he almost fell to the ground multiple times.  The male admitted to have been drinking and smoking marijuana.  Officers recognized the male from a previous arrest just two days prior.  The male, unable to care for himself, was arrested for public intoxication, felony vandalism and committing a felony while out on bail.  Officers estimated the damage to be in excess of $6,000.  The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

#004 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
At 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Kirby’s Bar on Fremont Blvd on a report of a man with a gun.  It was reported that someone outside the bar had a gun and fired off rounds.  Officers arrived and found the suspects had fled.  It appeared that a group was kicked out of the bar by the owner and they came back with a gun. The suspect did not fire any rounds but did brandish it towards people at the bar.  When the suspects fled in the vehicle, the driver appeared to be intentionally trying run a person over. That person got their foot run over by the car.  The suspect was described as a white male in his 30’s, bald with a brown goatee, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and tattoos on his right arm.  The vehicle was a black 4-door sedan, similar to an Acura. Officer Paiva investigated the incident.
