Wind Chill Warning until 07:00AM Sunday

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... ...WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow today, with 1 to 3 inches accumulation, heaviest east. Plan on slippery road conditions, with areas of poor visibility. Dangerously cold wind chills expected tonight all the way through early Sunday. Expect wind chills to range from 10 below zero to 30 below zero, with lowest values occurring late Friday through early Saturday. Wind chills at highest elevations may even reach to 35 below.

* WHERE...In Pennsylvania, Wayne, Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Pike Counties. In New York, Otsego, Delaware and Sullivan Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 PM EST this evening. For the Wind Chill Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow today. Dangerously cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin. Also, the very cold air could cause freezing of vulnerable exposed plumbing, if preventive measures are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Chill Warning means the combination of very cold air and the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frost bite can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
