In a recent Pastor's Forum, MPD officers and multiple local faith based leaders discussed the need for a way to combat the Opioid epidemic together, on the local level.
The decision was made to develop a tri-fold pamphlet as a first step in raising public awareness to warning signs as well as provide a comprehensive list of local resources.
Addiction can touch anyone regardless of race, gender, age or economic earnings. If the people around someone dealing with addiction see the warning signs early enough, they can cause an intervention that can literally save the individuals life.
