Deputies arrest Jeffery Hernandez for possession of drugs and a loaded gun

LOCATION: San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Jeffery Hernandez, 45-year-old resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY: Deputy R. Torres was traveling on Genevieve St in San Bernardino when he saw a silver Cadillac with tinted windows swerving on the road. While at the intersection of Genevieve St and 34 th St, he attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield and Jeffery Hernandez threw a plastic bag containing approximately 4.8 ounces of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun out of the vehicle and stopped the car.
Additional Deputies arrived and took Hernandez into custody. Deputies discovered the handgun was stolen out of Los Angeles and Hernandez was on felony probation for PC 29800 (a)(1). Hernandez was booked at the Central Detention Center on weapons and drug charges.
