The Hayward Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an at-risk missing adult. Douglas Freitas is a 71-year-old male from Castro Valley who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s due to a traumatic brain injury.
Freitas is about 5’8” and 160 lbs. He has white hair and a beard. Freitas was last seen wearing a brown baseball hat, a blue plaid shirt over a red sweater, black sweatpants, and brown dress shoes with no socks. Freitas was last seen in the area of Burbank Street and MLK Drive around 2 p.m. Freitas is unfamiliar with the area and it is unknown where he may have gone.
