Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 700 block of North Brannick Avenue, unincorporated East Los Angeles, to investigate the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult.

Detectives have learned that at approximately 11:15 p.m., on Friday, December 30, 2017, deputies responded to the location regarding a “gunshot victim” call for service.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered that the victim was standing in front of the location when an unknown person fired gunshots towards his direction. The victim was struck at least one time in the torso.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect information.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau investigators are responding to the 700 block of North Brannick Avenue in the unincorporated area of East Los Angeles to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an adult male.

The male adult was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
