...FREEZING RAIN EXPECTED TO CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS TODAY OVER MOST OF THE ARKLAMISS... ...DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILLS EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING... .A weather disturbance will combine with an arctic cold front moving south into the area to bring a mixture of light freezing and sleet. Wintry precipitation will develop across extreme southeast Arkansas and north central Mississippi early this morning, spreading southward as much colder air moves into the advisory area. It is expected to move well south into northeast Louisiana and portions of central Mississippi along and north of the Interstate 20 corridor later this morning, and then into locations just south of Interstate 20 by late this morning into this afternoon. Later on this evening, wind chills will begin to fall into the single digits across portions of the Delta, then across the remainder of the area overnight. These dangerously cold conditions will continue into New Years Day, though wind chills are expected to recover to above advisory levels by the afternoon. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CST THIS MORNING... ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST MONDAY...
