PLEASE DRIP YOUR WATER THIS WINTER!
Even if the pipes in your home don't freeze, all residents should drip in winter time to keep town-wide infrastructure from freezing. The Town of Silverton is allotting an extra 3,000 gallons of water per billing cycle for all residents, to allow for dripping faucets from November 1st through April 30th.

Follow these tips for winter freeze prevention:
• Insulate pipes w/pipe insulator.
• Heat pipes by wrapping with UL approved heat tape.
• Drip Faucets: Slow, steady drip.
• Open cabinet doors under sinks.
• Insulate all open space.
• Insulate crawl spaces/basements.
• Turn up your thermostat during extremely cold temperatures.
