A detective from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a shooting in Ukiah last night. At about 8:00 PM detectives located two armed suspects at the Sunrise Hotel in Ukiah. A shooting ensued after a man leveled a gun towards detectives. One detective shot an undetermined amount of rounds and a male suspect was ultimately taken into custody. The second suspect, a woman with him, was found deceased from a gunshot wound in the hotel room, the origin of which is under investigation. The incident is being investigated by the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office. Any further information will be distributed from that agency.
