On December 21, 2017 the Corcoran Police Department conducted a probation and parole sweep throughout the city. Investigators with Kings County Gang Task Force, Avenal Police Department and the Kings County Probation Department assisted with the sweep. During the sweep as well as officers with the Lemoore Police Department, several arrests were made for various crimes. Jose Guzman was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm by a convicted felon. Joseph Carrasco was arrested for being a parolee at large with an active no-bail arrest warrant and Rafael Garcia was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and being under the influence of a control substance. All three suspects were later transported to the Kings County Jail where they were booked for their respective charges.
