12/16/2017 @ 3 am.  A man was walking on Santa Monica Blvd when the suspect approached him and asked to use his phone. The victim gave his phone to the suspect and then the suspect tried to pull the victims watch from his wrist but was unsuccessful. The suspect kept the phone and fled the area on foot. The victim was unable to provide further details about the incident. Loss $1100. #07020
