Reminder: Chula Vista Officers Providing Holiday Meals this Tuesday to Needy Families

This is a reminder that the Chula Vista Police Foundation, Athlete's for Education (AFE) and Walmart will help make the holidays special by providing holiday meals for more than 1,000 needy South Bay families. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 19th from 7:00 - 9:00 am at Walmart located at 1150 Broadway in Chula Vista. Participating families have already been invited and provided vouchers for holiday meals.

Santa Claus will arrive in his sleigh at 7am to greet children and hand out toys and candy canes. In addition, those in attendance will be able to meet professional athletes who will participate along with Chula Vista Police Chief Roxana Kennedy by handing out meals to families. Professional MMA athlete Phil Davis from Alliance Gym will also be in attendance, along with former NFL players Darren Carrington (San Diego Chargers) and Leon White (Cincinnati Bengals).

Come watch the joy as the Chula Vista Police Department raffle off bicycles to 15 lucky children in attendance.

As we reflect on this holiday season, we are all thankful for what we have and what we are able to give to others. Together Chula Vista Police Department employees, AFE volunteers and Walmart employees encourage others to help those in need. Please join us as we make a difference in our community.
