The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Central St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Ascension Parish in southeastern Louisiana... St. James Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northeastern Assumption Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southwestern Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...

* Until noon CST

* At 1005 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms persisting over the same areas since early this morning. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Picayune, Covington, Donaldsonville, Poplarville, Napoleonville, Reserve, Laplace, Gramercy, Lutcher, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Sun, Paincourtville, Convent, North Vacherie, Garyville, Wallace, Supreme, Bush and Mcneil.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ASCENSION ... ASSUMPTION ... LIVINGSTON ... ST. JAMES ... ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST ... ST. TAMMANY ... TANGIPAHOA
